Mosquito service as part of a monthly pest plan
Yard Brat Pest & Termite serves Southwest Florida homes and properties, including Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Palmetto, North Port and Port Charlotte. Mosquito treatment is included with our monthly recurring pest-control plan. Our bi-monthly plan does not include mosquito treatment, so it is important to choose the option that matches the property’s needs.
Why mosquitoes are common around Florida homes
Warm weather, frequent rain, shaded landscaping and standing water can create favorable mosquito conditions. Even small amounts of water in uncovered containers, clogged gutters and neglected items can serve as breeding sites. Properties with screened lanais, irrigation systems or dense vegetation may need a closer look at nearby resting and breeding areas.
What to expect from an inspection
Tell our office where mosquitoes are most noticeable—near a pool cage, front entrance, shaded side yard or patio—and whether standing water or irrigation changes are present. The team can discuss monthly service and practical prevention steps. Not every mosquito source is located on the property, so complete elimination cannot be guaranteed.

- Empty and refresh water in outdoor containers as appropriate.
- Maintain screens and repair openings around patio doors.
- Address drainage and irrigation problems where possible.
- Keep landscaping trimmed near heavily used outdoor areas.
